To schedule a lesson:

Sign in to the account. Go to " Teachers" which will open a list of teachers registered on the portal.

Select a teacher with whom you want to schedule a lesson and go to his/her profile.

Students can now either book a free trial session or purchase a lesson.

Booking a free trial will open the availability calendar of the teacher. Students can then select a date and time from the calendar and confirm the booking.

To purchase a lesson, students are required to make the payment, and further schedule the lesson as per the availability of the teacher.

To get started on the platform, students are required to register with their email account and verify it by clicking the link sent on their email address.

After the verification, students can log in and set up their profile like picture, phone number, country, timezone, etc.

Students can then search for the teachers as per their requirements by entering the subject/course name.

After shortlisting the teachers, students can book a free trial session with them to have a better understanding of the teacher and see if they both can work together.

Post that, the students can select a teacher that suits them and continue with their classes.

Trial sessions are the initial meetings between the teachers and students as a way of exchanging introductions. Teachers give a brief teaching demonstration so that both of them can decide whether working together is a good fit.

Trial sessions last for 30 minutes and are free of cost. Students can book the trial lessons by:

• Find a teacher you want to book a trial with.

• On their detailed information page you will see a 'Book Free Trial' button.

• Clicking the 'Book Free Trial' button will open their availability calendar from           where you can select the date and time for your trial sessions.

• Click 'Book Lesson' which will redirect you to the checkout page where you   have to 'Confirm Order'. Your trial lesson is then booked.

The system allows each student to take one trial lesson per teacher, for a total of three trial lessons.

To cancel a lesson:

• Sign in to the account. Go to "Lessons” which will display all the scheduled lessons.

• Click on the "Cancel Lesson” icon of the lesson which is to be canceled.

• Mention a comment for canceling the lesson and click "Approve”.

• The lesson will be canceled.

If a student misses a lesson, the student can send a request to the teacher to reschedule the lesson at a time suitable to both.

Students can rate the teachers as soon as the session is over according to their experience with the teachers. These ratings are then reflected on teachers’ profiles according to which other students can select their teachers.

The class recording feature is available in our website through a Zoom. Students can record and save the live sessions for future reference.

Teachers can include the YouTube link of their introduction video to make it more attractive. They can also include relevant information about themselves like biography, skills, experience, and languages which also helps in making their profile outstanding.

Lesson rates/hourly rates are displayed in the profiles of the teachers for the students. To set lesson rates/hourly rates:

• Sign in to the account. Go to "Settings” and click on the "Price” tab.

• From there, teachers can set rates for single and bulk lessons.

• Lastly, click "Save Changes” to save your selected price.

Yes, teachers can create a lesson plan and share it with the students. To create a lesson plan:

・Sign in to the account. Go to the "Lesson Plan” option on the left side of the screen.

・Click the "Add New Lesson” button on the top right corner and start filling the lesson details like title, description, difficulty level, links, and upload plan files.

・Click "Save” to create the plan.

The teacher can send a request to the student to reschedule the lesson if he/she will not be able to attend the lesson. To request for rescheduling:

• Sign in to the account. Go to "Lessons” where the list of all the delivered/scheduled lessons will be available.
• Click on the "Reschedule Lesson” icon of the lesson that needs to be rescheduled.
• A pop-up box will open. Mention a comment for rescheduling the lesson for the student and click "Send”.
• A notification will be sent to the student for rescheduling the lesson. 
• The student can then select another time and date as per teacher's availability to reschedule the lesson.

Teachers are required to set their availability so that students can schedule their lessons as per the available time set by the teachers. Teachers can set their availability by:

• Sign in to the account. Go to "Settings” and click on the "Availability” tab.

• From there, teachers can set their available date and time which will be reflected in their profiles.

• Click "Save” to save your changes.

Teachers and students will require an internet connection, a computer/tablet/smartphone with a camera, and a headset or earphones with a microphone.

Yes, teachers and students can see the scheduled lessons as per their time zones, simplifying the problem for teachers and students located in different time zones. They can go to "Settings" and select their "Time Zone".

Yes, all Homelearningedu teachers are required to have experience teaching the target language to speakers of other languages. When applying, please detail this experience in the resume section and upload proof such as a diploma or teaching certification license.

No, you do not need to be. However, you are required to be extremely competent in the language you wish to teach.

After a lesson is completed, 85% of your earnings will be added to your Homelearningedu account. Compensation is paid once a week after you submit a cash-out request addressed to the administrator. You can cash out your earnings using PayPal or a bank transfer. 

Earnings can be cashed in at any time by making a request. Payments are made to your designated account on the first and third Friday of the month.
